Gigabyte presented at CES 2025 a new generation of motherboards based on Intel B860 and AMD B850 chipsets, designed for the latest Intel Core Ultra 200 and AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000 processors.
The manufacturer claims that the B800 series motherboards for both platforms use ultra-durable and high-end components, as well as D5 Bionic Corsa technology. This technology combines advanced AI solutions in software, hardware and firmware to increase DDR5 memory speeds up to 8600 MT/s on AMD B850 boards and up to 9466 MT/s on Intel B860 boards. Support for AI SNATCH Engine, powered by advanced AI overclocking models, allows you to optimize DDR5 memory configurations and increase its performance in just a couple of clicks. AI-driven PCB design improves signal integrity and HyperTune BIOS fine-tunes the Memory Reference Code (MRC) to achieve peak performance on Intel B860 boards.
Gigabyte motherboards with the AMD B850 chipset support a special X3D Turbo mode designed for AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors with optional 3D V-Cache. This technology, which debuted on Gigabyte X870 boards, limits the multithreading of chips with two CCD units, increasing performance at the core level. Eliminating half of the physical cores and disabling virtual threads increases the maximum frequency boost of the remaining cores, which has a positive effect on system performance in games and a number of work tasks.
Gigabyte boards with Intel B860 and AMD B850 chipsets feature efficient cooling systems, as well as PCIe EZ-Latch Plus and M.2 EZ-Latch Click mounting mechanisms that simplify the installation of graphics cards, SSDs and Wi-Fi antennas.
As part of the B800 series, Gigabyte introduced 11 boards based on the AMD B850 chipset, two boards based on the AMD B840 chipset and 25 board models based on the Intel B860 chipset. The new products are included in the manufacturer’s branded series: Aorus Pro, Aorus Elite, Gaming (X), Eagle, the new ICE series (the boards are distinguished by a white design) and AI TOP.
