Asus presented at CES 2025 a lightweight and productive laptop, the Asus Zenbook A14, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X chip, aimed at competing with the MacBook Air, although it won’t be easy, The Verge writes. The company noted that this is the first model in the Zenbook family to receive the latest Snapdragon X chip with AI support. The computer belongs to the Copilot+ PC category.

The Asus Zenbook A14 is equipped with a 14-inch Lumina OLED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a peak brightness of 600 cd/m2. The display provides 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and also has an anti-glare coating.

The amount of RAM LPDDR5X is up to 32 GB, the capacity of SSD PCIe 4.0 (M.2 2280) is up to 1 TB. Asus Zenbook A14 specifications include wireless adapters up to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, two USB 4.0 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.1 connector, a 3.5 mm audio jack, an FHD AI IR webcam and two speakers with support for Dolby Atmos technology.

The 70 Wh battery provides up to 32 hours of battery life. The A14’s ultra-light magnesium alloy body is coated with Asus Ceraluminum ceramic coating, making it lighter and giving it a matte, stone-like appearance. The laptop weighs 0.98 kg.

The Asus Zenbook A14 will go on sale in the US on January 13th for $1,099.99. Then, at the end of March, the Asus Zenbook A14 version with a Snapdragon X Plus processor (X1P-42-100), 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD will go on sale for $899.99.
