The South Korean company Samsung Electronics took advantage of the accompanying CES 2025 revival in the information field to announce its intention to hold the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22 of this year, during which it will present smartphones of the Galaxy S25 family. Judging by the splash page on the company’s website, four models of the new family will be presented on this day.

The presence of rounded corners on all four smartphones confirms the assumption that the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra model will abandon the angular body design inherent in its predecessor. In addition to the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, which will differ mainly in display size and battery capacity, Samsung is going to introduce a completely new Galaxy S25 Slim, which is rumored to have a 6.66-inch display and a 5000 mAh battery. The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and be equipped with a camera unit combining a 200-megapixel main sensor with two 50-megapixel (ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses). It is possible that in order to reduce the thickness of the Galaxy S25 Slim case, it will lose its wireless charging function.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will retain the 6.8-inch display, but with thinner bezels around it, it will be able to fit into a more compact body. The ultra-wide-angle camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels will be updated, but otherwise the cameras of the new Samsung flagship will not differ from its predecessor. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor will be combined with 16 GB of RAM, but its volume has not yet been fully confirmed. Buyers of this smartphone will also be given free access to the Google Gemini Advanced AI service and 2 TB of Google Drive cloud storage for a year.

This year’s presentation of Galaxy Unpacked will begin at 21:00 Moscow time on January 22, Samsung is going to broadcast from it on all major popular social networks.
