Lenovo showed off a prototype of the second-generation Legion Go portable gaming console at CES 2025. It received a large, high-quality display, ergonomic removable controllers and a new powerful processor.

Announced at IFA 2023, the first-generation Lenovo Legion Go console is a powerhouse in its class. The company stated that it listened to feedback from fans of the brand and used the latest innovative solutions in the new version of the device. So far this is only a prototype of the console, but Lenovo has shared the technical characteristics of the device.
There is a powerful AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor with RDNA 3.5 graphics, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X 7500 MHz RAM, an 8.8-inch OLED PureSight display with an aspect ratio of 16:10, a brightness of up to 500 cd/m² and a frequency of up to 144 Hz – with In VRR support it can be variable. The new flagship Lenovo Legion Go has improved ergonomics: the corners of the TrueStrike controllers have been rounded, and the cross has become round.
The console is equipped with an SSD with a capacity of up to 2 TB, and the battery capacity is 76 Wh. The company noted that it tried to demonstrate its vision of the future of portable gaming systems: high performance in a compact and lightweight body. But this is not the final version of the device, Lenovo added, the version intended for the mass market may differ from the prototype. The price of the second-generation flagship Legion Go and the timing of its release have not yet been indicated, but the company intends to release the console in 2025.
