Lenovo presented updated versions of its Legion, Legion Pro and LOQ series gaming laptops at CES 2025 – they received fresh Intel and AMD processors, as well as the latest generation Nvidia discrete graphics.

Lenovo Legion 5 and 5i laptops differ in processor manufacturers: in the first case, these are AMD and models up to Ryzen AI 7 350, in the second, Intel with models up to Core Ultra 9 275HX. In both cases, configurations with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card are available. The laptops are equipped with 15.3-inch OLED PureSight screens with WQXGA resolution (2560 × 1600 pixels), a refresh rate of 165 Hz and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
The Lenovo Legion 7i boasts a 16-inch PureSight OLED screen of the same resolution – a claimed 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 240Hz refresh rate and the same 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage; there is also an RGB backlit keyboard, an 84 Wh battery and support for Wi-Fi 7. Laptops in this series use the Coldfront Hyper cooling system with TDP support up to 145 W. Lenovo Legion 5 and 5i will go on sale in May 2025, starting at $1,149 and $1,299, respectively; Legion 7i will be released in June and will cost $1,599.
The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i and Legion Pro 5i laptops are equipped with Intel processors up to Core Ultra 9 275HX, while the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 offers AMD chips up to Ryzen 9 9955HX. This time, a discrete graphics card up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 is available. Legion Pro series laptops are equipped with 16-inch PureSight OLED screens with WQXGA resolution (2560 × 1600 pixels). The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 and Pro 5i models have two USB Type-C ports, four USB Type-A ports, as well as one HDMI 2.1 and RJ45; Wi-Fi 7 supported.
The older Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is equipped with a Coldfront Hyper cooling system with a TDP of up to 250 W and RGB backlighting for each key; in the case of the younger Legion Pro 5 and Pro 5i, Coldfront Hyper cooling supports up to 200 W, and RGB backlighting divides the keyboard into 24 zones – configuration is done in the Legion Space application. Lenovo Legion Pro 5i will be available in May 2025 starting at $1,499; Legion Pro 5 will be available for purchase in June, price tag starts at $1,399; Legion Pro 7i will be available in March starting at $2,399.
Lenovo LOQ laptops are inexpensive gaming models. They are available with Intel and AMD processors. Thus, the 15-inch Lenovo LOQ 15IRX10, 15AHP10 and 15AKP10 models are equipped with Intel Core i7-14650HX, AMD Ryzen 7 260 and AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 chips, respectively. New this year is the 17-inch LOQ Lenovo LOQ 17IRX10 model with up to Intel processor Core i7-14650HX. Discrete video cards are available up to the mobile Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070. The release dates for the line and prices have not yet been specified.
