Dell unveils 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor AW2725Q with 4K and 240 Hz

Dell introduced the 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor AW2725Q, which replaced last year’s AW2725DF model. The new model uses Samsung’s fourth generation QD-OLED matrix with a pixel density of 166 PPI (the highest in its class) and 99 percent color space coverage.

The monitor supports a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz. The typical display brightness is 250 cd/m², and the peak brightness in HDR mode reaches 1000 cd/m². The new product is certified according to the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 standard, supports Dolby Vision HDR technologies, as well as scaling using AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync.

The monitor includes one DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC), two HDMI 2.1, and a USB hub with one USB-B upstream port (5 Gbps), three USB-A downstream ports (5 Gbps), and one downstream port USB-C (5 Gbps) with support for charging up to 15 W. The monitor is equipped with an ergonomic stand with the ability to adjust the height of the screen above the table, as well as the angles of rotation and tilt.


The Alienware AW2725Q 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor will go on sale in China starting January 22. It will subsequently be available in the US for $899.99. In the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the new product will appear in March, and in Europe – no earlier than April.
