In the absence of news about The Elder Scrolls VI, fans of the Bethesda Game Studios role-playing series can only count the days until the next announcement. Meanwhile, the game’s original presentation has reached a remarkable age.

Let us remind you that the official announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI took place on June 10, 2018 as part of the Bethesda Softworks presentation at the E3 2018 gaming exhibition. A 36-second teaser trailer was shown at the show (this one).

As noted by a Reddit forum user under the pseudonym RoboPup, January 7, 2025 (that is, today) 2,403 days have passed since the announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI (that is, six years, seven months and three days).

This figure is notable because this is exactly the age The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was (six years, seven months and three days) at the time of the announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI in June 2018.

In other words, the same number of days have passed since the announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI as have passed since the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (November 11, 2011) at the time of the release of the debut teaser trailer for the sixth part.

Bethesda Game Studios executive producer Todd Howard admitted in 2023 that he would have announced The Elder Scrolls VI in a more casual manner and hopes to make it “the best fantasy world simulator.”

The release of The Elder Scrolls VI, according to Microsoft court documents, is expected no earlier than 2026 on PC and Xbox consoles. In the summer, the game entered the active development stage, and last spring the project already had early working builds.
