Asus and its gaming division Republic of Gamers (ROG) unveiled several routers at CES 2025 aimed at different purposes: gaming, travel, mobile and outdoors.
Asus ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI is the world’s first gaming router with a built-in neural processor (NPU), that is, an artificial intelligence accelerator. Together with the CPU and MCU, it ensures user privacy and energy efficiency of the device: intelligent software and a scheduled learning algorithm help enable power-saving mode, resulting in a 46% reduction in power consumption.
ROG AI Game Booster and Adaptive QoS 2.0 technologies help reduce latency by up to 34% – supports installations of up to 3,000 games. In addition to games, the device also offers advanced general-purpose functions: Ad Blocker, Tracker Blocker, Network Insight and RF Scanner.
The Asus RT-BE58 Go router is designed for users who want to use the same network at home, at work and while traveling. At home it’s a regular router; while traveling, you can connect it to public Wi-Fi in WISP mode; There is a built-in 4G/5G modem. Dual-band Wi-Fi 7 is supported, as well as MLO and 4K-QAM technologies – the router copes with video conferencing and transferring large files. It is possible to quickly enable VPN with support for up to 30 providers. The setup is done through the mobile application; Whole house coverage can be achieved using AiMesh.
The Asus 5G-Go mobile router offers IP51 protection and an elegant design. When connected, speeds of up to 5.95 Gbps are achieved; Wi-Fi 7 is supported, there is an Ethernet 2.5G port and the ability to connect via USB at speeds of up to 10 Gbps. Asus ZenWiFi Outdoor series devices are designed for deploying a wireless network outdoors. The older ZenWiFi BD5 Outdoor model supports dual-band Wi-Fi 7 with speeds of up to 5000 Mbps, as well as MLO and 4K-QAM technologies. AiMesh technology based on Wi-Fi 7 allows one set to provide coverage of up to 232 m². The router is capable of operating in harsh conditions: there is protection against voltage surges and electrostatics, protection against water and dust according to the IP65 standard, the operating temperature range is from -30 °C to +60 °C.
