The flagship model Neo QLED 8K QN990F is made in an ultra-thin, minimalist body and is equipped with Samsung’s proprietary NQ8 AI Gen 3 processor. This chip powers AI functions such as image upscaling up to 8K, color gamut and dynamic range enhancement, adaptive sound, color enhancement, and also a special AI mode in which the image and sound are automatically optimized depending on the content being shown on the screen.

In keeping with its minimalist aesthetic, the QN990F comes with a Wireless One Connection Box, eliminating the need to connect wires directly to your TV. External devices connect to the Wireless One Connection Box, and data is transferred to the TV wirelessly. According to Samsung, stable data transfer between devices is possible over a distance of up to 10 meters.

Models in the Neo QLED 4K line are equipped with NQ4 AI Gen 3 processors. They support image scaling functions, as well as a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The QN80F is available in a 100-inch diagonal version, while the QN90F is available in a 115-inch diagonal version.

Samsung’s AI ambitions extend to the TV segment. The company’s set of AI functions are united under the general name Samsung Vision AI. Among the innovations are improved options for personalization and optimization of interaction with the device. Click to Search allows you to identify people, places and various objects displayed on the screen, and then provide relevant information about these objects online. For example, it can be used to find out information about the actors participating in a scene, or to recognize objects and places.

Likewise, Samsung’s Food feature can recognize dishes, provide relevant recipes, and offer to order your favorite dishes for delivery through third-party apps. Samsung AI Home Security turns your TV into a home surveillance center. The built-in microphone and cameras can be used to detect unusual sounds and movements. When something suspicious is detected, a notification is sent to the owner’s smartphone or displayed on the TV screen.

Another AI feature, Live Translate, translates subtitles into the desired language in real time. The Generative Wallpaper feature allows you to create dynamic, personalized backgrounds.

Samsung will reveal more detailed information about new TVs during the annual CES 2025 exhibition, which will be held from January 7 to 10 in Las Vegas.
