AMD has introduced a new series of Ryzen Z2 processors optimized for portable gaming consoles. The new family includes three models: the older Ryzen Z2 Extreme, the middle Ryzen Z2 and the basic Ryzen Z2 Go for low-cost consoles.
The Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor belongs to the Strix Point series and is equipped with eight cores (three Zen 5 and five Zen 5c) with support for 16 virtual threads. The stated maximum clock speed is 5.1 GHz. The chip is equipped with integrated Radeon 890M graphics, based on 16 execution units of the RDNA 3.5 architecture. The cache memory is 24 MB. Configurable power consumption (TDP) ranges from 15 to 35 W.
The Ryzen Z2 processor is based on the Hawk Point crystal. It includes eight Zen 4 cores with support for 16 virtual threads, operating at up to 5.0 GHz. The chip is equipped with integrated Radeon 780M graphics with 12 execution units of RDNA 3 architecture. The power consumption of Ryzen Z2 ranges from 15 to 30 W.
The Ryzen Z2 Go model belongs to the Rembrandt series and is equipped with four Zen 3+ cores with support for eight virtual threads. The processor operates at frequencies up to 4.3 GHz and has 10 MB of cache memory. The adjustable power consumption ranges from 15 to 30 W. The chip is also equipped with integrated Radeon 680M graphics with 12 execution units.
