Doogee has released a rugged Blade GT smartphone with a bright and unusual backlight

Doogee has introduced an unusual protected smartphone, the Blade GT, which stands out clearly from its competitors thanks to an innovative backlight system on the back of the case. The device offers not only modern technical equipment, but also a fundamentally new approach to visual interaction between the user and the smartphone.

One of the key features of the Blade GT is its user-centricity. The manufacturer has tried to make controlling lighting effects as simple and accessible as possible even for inexperienced users. To access the backlight settings, simply click on the Light Elf application icon on your desktop. An alternative way is through the device’s system settings.

The control panel allows you to instantly try out various lighting effects and adjust their parameters: blinking style, constant operation mode, backlight brightness. A long press on the Light Elf icon brings up the brightness adjustment interface, which is set to 60% by default, but can be changed at the user’s discretion.

The Light Elf application significantly expands the capabilities of light display. It offers centralized control of all lighting effects through a single switch, and also allows you to set the backlight to automatically turn off at night for a comfortable sleep. Of particular note is the ability to customize lighting effects for incoming calls and notifications. Users can select different lighting patterns (blinking or breathing) and adjust the speed at which they change. By default, the light indication is activated for calls and messages, but you can configure it for other applications.

One of the most impressive features is the synchronization of lighting effects with music. The smartphone analyzes the songs being played and creates the appropriate lighting, which turns listening to music into a real audiovisual performance.

Doogee Blade GT offers six preset lighting effect modes, each of which corresponds to a specific mood: Happy, Sad, Excited, Rhythm, OK and LOVE. This allows users to express their emotions through visuals, adding a new level of interaction with their smartphone.

In addition to its entertainment functions, the Blade GT’s LED display also has practical applications. For example, when the battery charge is low (less than 20%), the light bar begins to flash quickly to alert the user to the need to recharge. During charging, the light indication displays the current charge level and the rate of its change, which makes it easy to control the process even from afar.

When there is an incoming call, the user can select one of several backlight modes with different blinking speeds. The light effect continues until the user performs an action: mute, answer or reject a call. The light indication for notifications from various applications is configured in the same way.

As for technical characteristics, the Doogee Blade GT is based on a powerful eight-core Dimensity 7050 processor, manufactured using a 6-nm process technology and operating at a frequency of up to 2.6 GHz. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.72-inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device received 12 GB of RAM, expandable by another 20 GB through virtual memory, as well as 256 GB of internal memory, expandable with microSD cards up to 2 TB. The smartphone runs the latest version of the Android 14 operating system.

The main camera is represented by a 48-megapixel module with an artificial intelligence system and a 5-megapixel wide-angle module. The front camera has a resolution of 20 megapixels. A battery with a capacity of 5500 mAh is responsible for autonomy. Blade GT supports two nano-SIM cards or one SIM card and a memory card. The dimensions of the device are 178.5 × 83.5 × 10.5 mm. Doogee Blade GT complies with IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD810H standards, that is, it is not afraid of water, including hot water, as well as falls and shocks.

Doogee has already started accepting orders for the bright Blade GT smartphone at a price of $249. Deliveries of the new product will begin soon.
