2024 turned out to be a good year for AMD. The company managed to release products that customers liked and showed high sales. Intel, on the other hand, was not doing well: it was actively struggling with the problems of the 13th and 14th generation Core processors, and the new Core Ultra 200S did not impress consumers. AMD, in turn, has taken the lead with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, the best gaming processor on the market. AMD’s success was also confirmed by sales statistics in the American section of Amazon.
Sales figures from Amazon US for December 2024 were shared on the X social network by the authors of the YouTube channel TechEpiphany: during the specified period, 63,100 AMD processors were sold versus only 19,300 from Intel. In other words, AMD outsold its competitor by more than three times. The best-selling processor of the month on Amazon was the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D with 8,000 units; In the Intel camp, the leader was the Core i7-12700K, sales of which amounted to 3,000 copies.
TechEpiphany cautioned that there may be some errors in the numbers given, but the overall picture is clear: AMD has won the race. Above is a table showing the top ten best-selling processors in the Amazon US section in December 2024. Nine out of ten positions belong to AMD, while Intel managed to win only one. Reds fans, meanwhile, are expecting new models with 3D V-Cache memory: the 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X3D and the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D.
