A trailer for the unreleased shooter Eolla from the creators of Metro Exodus has leaked online – the game was supposed to be “Stalker in Space”

A trailer from the closed presentation at E3 2013 of the unreleased space shooter Eolla from the studio 4A Games, founded by people from GSC Game World, has been released to the public.

Development of Eolla began before the release of Metro: Last Light under the leadership of 4A Games co-founder Andrei Prokhorov, who called the project “Stalker in space” – with a mixture of free action S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and the cinematic quality of Metro.

In June 2013, Prokhorov showed the Eolla trailer at E3 2013 behind closed doors. The other day, the VK community “Around Builds Metro 2033|Last Light|Exodus,” which studies the history and various builds of games in the Metro series, published the same video.

The video, two and a half minutes long, in extremely poor quality, shows an alien landscape and creatures, a first-person view and animations familiar from the games of the Metro series.

It is worth noting that following the publication on VK, the Eolla trailer from E3 2013 was discovered on YouTube. It was uploaded by user Andrew Tate on December 17, 2022. For two years, almost no one noticed the video – it has just over 200 views.

Eolla was supposed to be 4A Games’ biggest development, but the project was frozen in 2015. Prokhorov mentioned plans to return to the game with the experience gained from creating Metro Exodus, but left the studio after its sale to the Embracer holding.

Currently, 4A Games is working on two AAA games, one of which is most likely the next numbered Metro – it was confirmed back in November 2020, but has not yet been fully presented.
