Nvidia App received an update that fixed game slowdown – stuttering filters are now disabled by default

Nvidia has confirmed that there is a performance issue in the Nvidia App software package and has proposed a solution to it – disabling the Game Filters option. In the next update, the company partially solved this problem by disabling the default option.

Nvidia App is positioned as a replacement for GeForce Experience, which will combine the functions of its predecessor and, in the future, the control panel. The new software product was released several months ago and was published in parallel with the main branch as a beta version for gamers. But when Nvidia released it complete with drivers, users began to notice a performance hit. The community put forward many hypotheses about what was happening, and the manufacturer subsequently reported that the loss of performance can be eliminated by disabling the “Game Filters” setting.

The latest Nvidia App update 11.0.1.189 has not yet completely resolved the issue, but the Game Filters option is now disabled by default. Some users reported the problem during the beta testing stage, which suggests that Nvidia will not be able to solve it quickly. It is unlikely that the bug will be fixed before 2025. With the appropriate settings of the software package, it should be automatically updated with the next launch.
