Gigabyte is preparing to release at least 19 new models of motherboards based on AMD B850 and Intel B860 chipsets for Ryzen 7000/9000 and Core Ultra 200 processors, respectively. Images of the new products have appeared on the Internet.

Next month, AMD and partners will introduce mid-range Socket AM5 motherboards with the B850 chipset for Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 9000 processors. At the same time, Intel LGA 1851 motherboards based on the B860 chipset will be announced for Core Ultra 200 processors with a locked multiplier. The announcement of the latter is also expected early next month. It’s easy to imagine the confusion this would have caused if Intel hadn’t changed the name of its chipset – there would have been two series of B850 motherboards on the market for two completely different platforms.

Gigabyte is reported to present at least eight boards based on the AMD B850 chipset and 11 models based on the Intel B860 chipset. It is likely that these are not all of the manufacturer’s future motherboard models that will be presented next month.

Gigabyte will release boards for new platforms within its proprietary Aorus, Aorus ICE, Eagle, Gaming series and the budget DSH series. New products based on the AMD B850 chipset will be presented in ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX formats.

The line of Intel B860 boards will differ slightly. Among them, the only Mini-ITX model stands out – the B860I Aorus Pro ICE, as well as the B860 DSH3E WIFI6E model, equipped with five PCIe x16 slots.

In addition to Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, ASRock, as well as a number of smaller motherboard manufacturers will definitely present their motherboard models for the two platforms.
