Gigabyte is preparing to release at least three models of mid-range motherboards as part of its proprietary Aorus Elite series on the AMD B850 chipset for Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 9000 processors. All of them will be presented at CES 2025 early next month.
Images of the Aorus Elite B850 WiFi7 board in black and white, as well as the Aorus Elite B850M WIFI6E Ice model, which uses the compact Micro-ATX format, were shared by social network user X @momomo_us.
The Aorus Elite B850 WiFi7 will offer three PCIe x16 slots – one more than the Aorus Elite B850M WIFI6E Ice model. Images of this board were already published as part of a previous leak by the same source.
The new products also differ in the supported Wi-Fi standard, as follows from the names of the boards themselves. At least one PCIe x16 slot for video cards and one M.2 slot for NVMe drives support the PCIe 5.0 standard.
Boards based on the AMD B850 chipset will offer full support for overclocking RAM and processor, but unlike models based on the flagship X870 chipset, they do not support the USB4 interface.
