The transparent LG Signature OLED T TV, which the Korean company demonstrated at CES 2024 almost a year ago, received an official price tag: $59,999. It is available for order from major American retail chains and on the manufacturer’s website.
LG Signature OLED T allows you to switch between a transparent mode, in which you can see everything behind the OLED panel, and an opaque mode, allowing you to watch programs in complete comfort on the 77-inch screen. For the latter, behind the transparent Signature OLED T panel on a tripod there is a special curtain, which is raised by pressing a button on the remote control.
The model boasts features that are not available on other LG TVs:
- T-Objet – Always-On-Display mode with the display of works of art, high-quality photographs or videos as a screensaver;
- T-Bar – an information panel stretching along the bottom edge of the screen, which displays sports results, statuses of Internet of Things devices, weather forecasts or song titles, while the rest of the screen is not used and remains transparent;
- T-Home is a convenient interface showing available services, with quick access to applications, settings and other functions.
The display has a 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 Hz, supports Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and HLG.
