The servers of the action game Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance in the Forgotten Realms universe will soon be closed, but there is good news

The fantasy action role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance from Wizards of the Coast and developers from Invoke Studios (formerly Tuque Games) did not gain fame and popular love, and very soon will become part of the history of the Forgotten Realms.

Journalists and users noticed that a warning appeared on the Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance page in digital services (at least Steam and PSN) about the imminent closure of the game servers.

As it became known, on February 24, 2025, the Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance servers will be turned off – along with this, the project will be withdrawn from sale in digital stores on various platforms.

However, total death, as was the case with The Crew, does not await Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance: “The main game and all downloadable content will continue to be available for offline single-player play for everyone who has already purchased it.”

Let us remind you that Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance was released on June 22, 2021 on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. From the day of release, the game was part of the Game Pass library, but after 12 months it left the subscription.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance received mixed reviews from critics and players (the project was criticized for monotony and technical problems), and the daily peak online on Steam has not exceeded a hundred people since September 2021.

After rebranding in the fall of 2022, Invoke Studios announced work on a AAA Dungeons & Dragons game on Unreal Engine 5, but it could have been canceled: at the beginning of 2023, Wizards of the Coast closed as many as five unannounced D&D projects.
