Acer was one of the first companies to advertise the new Intel Core Ultra 200S processors as part of its Predator Orion 7000 gaming systems in September of this year, two months before their official announcement. Now a similar situation is observed with GeForce RTX 5000 video cards. Acer announced that its gaming PCs will receive Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 accelerators. Moreover, the manufacturer announced one of the key characteristics of these video cards – the amount of video memory.
There have long been rumors on the Internet regarding the memory capacity of the new GeForce RTX 50 series video cards. According to these data, the flagship model RTX 5090 will receive 32 GB of new generation GDDR7 memory, and the RTX 5080 video card will only receive half of this amount. Acer confirms this information in its promotional materials for the Predator Orion 7000 gaming systems.
It is noteworthy that this information was also previously indirectly produced by Zotac, which produces GeForce video cards. On her website she created several sections for new accelerator models.
Information about the memory capacity of GeForce RTX 50 series video cards, also thanks to Zotac, is now displayed in Google search.
According to the latest rumors, the RTX 5080 model will receive a GB203-400 GPU with 10,752 CUDA cores and 16 GB of GDDR7 memory with support for a 256-bit bus. The power consumption of the video card is predicted at 400 W. In turn, the RTX 5090 model should receive a GB202-300 graphics chip with 21,760 CUDA cores and 32 GB of GDDR7 memory. And its declared power consumption will be below 600 W.
The announcement of Nvidia’s new generation Blackwell gaming video cards is expected at CES 2025 in early January. Nvidia is preparing to host the GeForce 50 LAN event, at the end of which, as predicted, new video cards will be presented.
