Apple plans to release to the market a completely updated version of the Magic Mouse, redesigned taking into account the comments that users made about the current generation model. This was reported by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, citing his own informed sources.
Apple recently released an updated Magic House mouse, equipped with a USB Type-C interface. This may mean that Apple’s new mouse won’t hit the market anytime soon. According to Gurman, Apple is “committed to developing something that better suits today’s realities.”
Consumers have long criticized the ergonomics of the Magic Mouse, as the mouse is uncomfortable for long-term use. In addition, the design of the device did not allow the charger port to be placed on the side. Therefore, users have to turn the mouse over to recharge, since the USB Type-C connector is located on the bottom. This means that the mouse cannot be used while charging.
It appears that Apple wants to change the location of the charging port “and also address long-standing complaints.” Unfortunately, more detailed information about what exactly Apple plans to do in the new version of Magic Mouse was not announced. As for the timing of entering the market, then, according to Gurman, the new mouse will hit the market in 12-18 months. This means that the updated Magic Mouse will not go on sale until 2026.
