An image of a new version of the Lenovo Legion Go portable gaming console has been leaked online, shared by well-known insider Evan Blass. Judging by the photo, the new model will retain removable Joy-Con-style controllers and a stand like the original, noted The Verge, which published the photo. It will also be possible to use one of the controllers as a vertical mouse in FPS mode when mounted on a round stand.
Based on the names of the leaked image files, it can also be assumed that instead of the Legion Go’s 8.8-inch IPS screen, the new model will have an OLED panel with the same diagonal, which means a brighter picture and deeper blacks, as well as potentially better response time.
The new console’s controllers feature a more ergonomic design with smoother lines, as well as a modified location of the mouse buttons on the right removable panel, making them more comfortable to hold and control the game process with them.
There is no Steam button on the published images of the console, although rumors have appeared that the company is preparing a console with support for SteamOS, which is confirmed by images of the console with such a button published by Blass on the social network X, which were subsequently deleted.
At the same time, the blogger showed The Verge observer the names of leaked files, according to which the more compact Lenovo Legion Go S console will be controlled using SteamOS.
