«Shot on iPhone” is not a new slogan for Apple, but it will soon be backed up by truly large-scale work. Next year, the blockbuster 28 Years Later, which was shot entirely on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, will hit theater screens. The first trailer for the film hit the web this week, and it looks pretty impressive.
The 28 Years Later trailer demonstrates the potential of iPhone filmmaking. The film itself is a long-awaited sequel to 28 Days Later, released in 2002. Kareena is a full-fledged Hollywood blockbuster, which will be released next summer. 28 Years Later was directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle.
Long before its release, the film attracted a lot of attention due to the fact that it was almost entirely shot on several iPhone 15 Pro Max. Judging by the first trailer, the result looks very good, so many are looking forward to the release of the film. If anything, the iPhone seems to be great for filming zombie horror, although it’s likely that smartphones will also be used to make films in other genres in the future.
