Developers from the independent studio Legion have published the first trailer for Covenant, a gloomy first-person action game in a dark fantasy setting. The authors call their project a soulslick shooter with metroidvania elements.
The main character of Covenant is an angelic warrior, the last heavenly messenger to descend to earth. Fulfilling the will of the Creators, he will follow the trail of his predecessor, the ancient angel Malakh, to find out the details of his death. The soulsliking shooter will receive not only a single-player story campaign, but also a cooperative mode with PvP battles.
A distinctive feature of the project is a huge world full of myths, secrets and intertwined stories. Exploration of spacious locations will take place with regular stops for battles with monsters and bosses that require special attention.
To effectively conduct firefights, it is extremely important to choose the right weapon from the extensive arsenal, but for lovers of close combat, a separate set of stances and techniques is being prepared. The use of auxiliary spells and catalysts will also be of great importance.
Covenant will be released on PC (Steam, EGS), no release date yet. On the game page on the Valve service, only English is currently listed as the supported language.
