The ironic work, recorded by Italian metallers Nanowar of Steel on the underground label Napalm Records, combines dizzying riffs and real Java code – the infectious melody is successfully complemented by references to the culture of programming. Anyone can play and run the application turned into a song – the source code is published on GitHub.

«This project contains a simple Java application that demonstrates the basic use of loops, conditional statements, and null pointer exception handling. Basic functionality includes printing the string “Hello World!” several times depending on the user-specified parameter; [it] was deliberately introduced with an error to show their processing,” reads the description of the song program in the repository.

The song “HelloWorld.java” is available on popular streaming services; the team also published a video clip showing the coding process.
