The Claw 8 AI+ and Claw 7 AI+ gaming consoles are based on an eight-core Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, which includes four Lion Cove cores with a frequency of 2.2-4.8 GHz and four Skymont cores with a frequency of 2.2-3.7 GHz, and also has powerful integrated Arc 140V graphics with eight Xe2 cores. The amount of RAM LPDDR5x-8533 for both models is 32 GB. To maintain proper temperatures, the consoles feature a Cooler Boost HyperFlow dual-fan, dual-heatpipe cooling system that effectively dissipates heat for extended gaming sessions.

The Claw 8 AI+ gaming console is equipped with an 8-inch IPS display with FHD+ resolution (1920 × 1200 pixels) and an adaptive refresh rate (VRR) of up to 120 Hz. The display aspect ratio is 16:10. It also reports 100% coverage of the sRGB color space and a brightness rating of 500 cd/m2.

PCIe 4.0 SSD capacity is up to 1 TB. The console is equipped with two 2W speakers with support for DTS Sound and Hi-Res Audio. Device specifications include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB Type-C port and a DP connector, as well as a microSD card slot and an audio jack.

The 80 Wh battery supports 65 W fast charging. The fingerprint scanner built into the power button is used to unlock. The console runs Windows 11 Home. The Claw 8 AI+ measures 299 x 126 x 24mm and weighs 795g.

The Claw 7 AI+ model received a 7-inch IPS screen with the same parameters as the older model. The console is equipped with a 54.5 Wh battery with support for 65-W fast charging via the USB Type-C port. There are also wireless communication adapters Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.34. The remaining characteristics of the model do not differ from the specifications of the Claw 8 AI+. The dimensions of the Claw 7 AI+ are slightly smaller than those of the older console: 290 × 117 × 21.2 mm, and the weight is 675 g.

As noted by MSI, thanks to the use of next-generation Intel processors, MSI Claw 8 AI+ and Claw 7 AI+ consoles continue to outperform the competition, delivering 113% higher peak FPS and 20% higher average FPS under the same power consumption conditions. Support for more than 150 AAA games is also announced. Thanks to exclusive use of the App Player, the new models offer access to the largest library of games across the Windows and Android platforms, the company says.

The Claw 8 AI+ is priced at $899 and the Claw 7 AI+ is priced at $799. According to a press release from MSI, the consoles are expected to go on sale today.
