The developers of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 have solved the main problems – server stability has reached 99.999%

The recent release of the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 flight simulator from Xbox Game Studios and Asobo Studio was marred by numerous technical problems, but a week later the developers report that the worst is behind us.

Let us remember that at launch MSFS 2024 suffered from problems with downloading the client, long queues for authorization and content that would not load. As it turned out, the servers were not prepared for the influx of players – the system was overloaded.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 development manager Jorg Neumann reported on the project website that the team has now overcome the main problems, and the stability of servers and online services has reached 99.999%.

Neumann noted that some additional content from the 2020 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator causes serious problems for users, so it is being disabled entirely until the specific culprits of the trouble are identified.

Next week’s patch will improve the stability of the game, and the upcoming update (released from December 9 to 15) will include an option to disable products from the marketplace and a safe mode (disables all third-party content).

Due to launch issues, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 received “extremely negative” reviews on Steam (only a 19% rating), but reviews have now become “mixed” (41%).

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 was released on November 19 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass. The game features a new career mode, improved aerodynamics and physics simulation, and the most detailed recreation of Earth yet.
