Over the past almost 10 years since the release of the gothic action game Bloodborne from the FromSoftware studio, fans have become so hungry for news about the future of the cult PS4 exclusive that they have begun to see teasers where there are none.
Users of the Bloodborne subreddit recently reported that the next maintenance of the game’s servers is scheduled for December 3, the 30th birthday of the PlayStation brand.
Not only does the work to keep the Bloodborne servers in good shape coincide with the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation, but in a recent advertising video from Sony itself, a mention was made of December 3, 2024 – for some, the coincidence turned out to be “too real.”
Part of the unspoiled Bloodborne community now hopes that future maintenance of the game’s servers is a teaser for something more, while more enlightened members warn colleagues of imminent disappointment.
Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb, who has repeatedly shared truthful insights about PlayStation events, is trying to save fans from pain: “I promise it’s nothing.”
It is worth noting that in the past, Bloodborne server maintenance has already occurred on an interesting date (in 2022, on the day of The Game Awards), but this never resulted in an announcement.
Bloodborne was released in March 2015 on PS4. Even the head of FromSoftware, Hidetaka Miyazaki, wants to see the game on PC, but he cannot say so directly – so far only enthusiasts are working in this direction.
