At an event in China, Huawei, in addition to the foldable smartphone Mate X6 and the flagships of the Mate 70 series, presented a new premium smart watch, Watch Ultimate Design Gold, as part of the Ultimate Design family. The new product is made using high-quality materials and boasts 18-karat gold trim.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Gold smart watch is equipped with a bezel made of nanocrystalline ceramics with symbols applied by vacuum deposition in gold. Along its edges are six segments of 18-karat yellow gold. The rotating crown button and other buttons are also plated in gold. The body of the device is made of a zirconium-based metal alloy with a ceramic back. The bracelet is made of titanium alloy with gold accents. The case dimensions are 49.4 x 49.4 x 13 mm and the weight is 78 g.
The 1.5-inch screen is made on an LTPO AMOLED matrix with a resolution of 466 × 466 pixels and is protected from damage by durable sapphire glass. The smartwatch provides 24/7 monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen levels, as well as stress levels and sleep quality.
Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Gold has a water resistance of 10ATM, withstanding immersion to a depth of 100 m, and supports, in addition to a number of training modes, a professional golf mode with more than 320 course maps. Support for GPS navigation, NFC technology and the Bluetooth wireless protocol is also announced. Thanks to the speaker and microphone, the smartwatch can be used to make calls from a connected smartphone and play music.
The smartwatch is compatible with devices running HarmonyOS 2 or later, Android 8.0 or later, iOS 13.0 or later.
Watch Ultimate Design Gold lasts up to 14 days with low activity, up to 8 days with normal use, and up to 4 days with Always-On Display (AOD) enabled.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Gold price in black is 21,999 yuan (about $3,038), while the blue model will cost 23,999 yuan (about $3,314).
