Oppo has officially introduced the Reno13 and Reno13 Pro smartphones. Both new products are equipped with bright OLED displays and the new MediaTek Dimensity 8350 single-chip platform, and will be available in several configurations with different amounts of RAM and internal storage.
The base Reno13 has a flat 6.59-inch display, while the Reno13 Pro has a 6.83-inch curved display. Both use a 1.5K resolution panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200cd/m² peak brightness and 3840Hz PWM brightness control. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the screen area.
Reno13 Pro received a 50-megapixel front camera based on the Samsung JN5 sensor, which is installed in a hole at the top of the display. The triple main camera is placed in a massive module on the back of the case. It includes a main 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX890 sensor of 50 megapixels (f/1.8) with support for optical image stabilization, a periscopic module of 50 megapixels (f/2.8) with 3.5x zoom and a wide-angle module of 8 megapixels (f/2.2) with a viewing angle of 112°. Both front and rear cameras provide 4K video recording at speeds up to 60 frames per second.
The base Reno13 is equipped with the same front camera, but its main camera is based on a 50-megapixel 1/1.95-inch Sony IMX882 sensor (f/1.8), which is complemented only by an 8-megapixel wide-angle module with 8 megapixels with a viewing angle of 112° . The basic version of the smartphone also supports 4K video shooting at up to 60 frames per second.
The hardware basis of Reno13 and Reno13 Pro is the new eight-core Dimensity 8350 processor with an operating frequency of up to 3.35 GHz and a Mali-G615 MC6 graphics accelerator. This chip is an almost complete copy of the Dimensity 8300, with the exception of the StarSpeed Engine, which is responsible for the operation of the platform in games.
Both devices will be available in versions with 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB storage. Reno13 Pro is equipped with a 5800 mAh battery with support for fast wired charging up to 80 W and wireless charging up to 50 W. The Reno13 is powered by a 5600 mAh battery with support for wired charging up to 80 W.
The Reno13 smartphone has dimensions of 157.90 × 74.73 × 7.24 mm and weighs 181 g, and Reno13 Pro has dimensions of 162.73 × 76.55 × 7.55 m and weighs 197 g. Both new products run Android 14 with proprietary interface ColorOS 14. Smartphones are made in metal housing, internal components are protected from dust and moisture according to IP66, IP68 and IP69 standards. Work in fifth generation communication networks (5G) is supported, and work in wireless networks is provided by Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 modules.
