The next generation Intel video card, the Arc B580 made by ASRock, was discovered in the American segment of the Amazon store. It is noteworthy that Intel has not yet announced the next generation of Battlemage GPUs. Thanks to the leak, some technical characteristics of the new product have become known.

The video card has the magnificent designation ASRock Intel ARC B580 Steel Legend 12GB OC. As the name suggests, it has 12 GB of memory – this is GDDR6, and its speed is 19 Gbps. Intel, therefore, ceases its participation in the discussion whether 8 GB of video memory is enough, and the 192-bit bus allows us to hope for comfortable running of games not only at 1080p resolution, but also at 1440p.

The ASRock ARC B580 Steel Legend makes do with a pair of traditional 8-pin power connectors. Each of them produces up to 150 W, and up to 75 W is provided by the PCIe slot on the motherboard – thus, the new video card will be enough for up to 375 W. Three fans are responsible for cooling, and for connecting monitors there are three DisplayPort connectors and one HDMI.

The pictures and technical specifications of the video card are accompanied by a somewhat strange description that does not quite correspond to the spirit of the ASRock section on Amazon: “The B-Series Pixel Feeders, better known as Battlemage, will be the best graphics cards Intel has ever released. After the chaos with Alchemist, the company redesigned the graphics architecture almost from the ground up. If no instabilities emerge in the Xe2 architecture, they will form a more convincing competitor to GeForce and Radeon. This will affect desktop PCs and mobile devices.”

The price of ASRock Intel ARC B580 Steel Legend 12GB OC on the Amazon page is not indicated, nor is the release date of the video card. But if it turns out to be cheaper than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 while delivering the same or better performance, that would be a strong signal for AMD, which has focused too much on mid-range models with its latest Radeon lineup.
