A few days before the publication of Nvidia’s quarterly report, rumors about the presence of problems with the cooling of Blackwell-generation GB200 accelerators in NVL72 racks could have frayed the nerves of investors, but the company’s partners hastened to declare that such solutions have already begun to be shipped and do not contain any defects.
At least, the founder and head of Dell Technologies, Michael Dell, stated on the social network pages that his company began shipping the world’s first GB200 NVL72 server racks. The liquid-cooled PowerEdge XE9712 has been shipped to CoreWeave. “The AI rocket just got a major boost,” Dell said in a statement.
The Taiwanese publication Economic Daily News added that Taiwanese contract manufacturers Foxconn and Quanta, which are Nvidia’s largest contractors for the production of GB200 accelerators, have also begun shipping the first batches of NVL72 server racks based on them. There are no changes in the delivery schedule, as the Taiwanese manufacturers explain. In any case, these supplies will become widespread only next year. According to Foxconn representatives, the GB200 series accelerators are in “crazy demand.” Quanta representatives also noted that mass deliveries of the corresponding server systems will begin in the next quarter.
