Users of the Samsung Internet browser for smartphones and tablets running on the Android platform have encountered problems synchronizing its bookmarks with Google Chrome on their desktop computer. The problem occurs due to a glitch in the Samsung Internet Chrome extension, SamMobile reported, suggesting that Samsung forgot to pay for the renewal of the SamsungInternet.com domain and it is no longer available to browser users.
When you exit the Samsung Internet Chrome extension and try to log in again using your Samsung account information, the web browser will redirect you to SamsungInternet.com, which appears to no longer be owned by Samsung and is currently for sale through a domain provider names Sedo, writes SamMobile. The cost of using the domain is $16 million.
As SamMobile noted, it is currently unknown when the bookmark syncing feature stopped working. This could have happened a few days ago, or perhaps a few weeks. Hopefully Samsung will renew/repurchase their domain name for Samsung Internet and the Chrome extension will come back online. In turn, Samsung has not yet commented on the situation with the browser synchronization function.
