It may seem that the GeForce RTX 3050 video card has been out for a very long time, but in fact it has been on the market for less than two years. For some reason, for an accelerator based on the Ampere architecture, Nvidia has not yet presented a more modern analogue based on the current Ada Lovelace architecture, at least in the desktop segment. Therefore, some video card manufacturers continue to release the RTX 3050 model. MSI recently introduced a new version.
It should be recalled that the RTX 3050 is available in two versions – with 8 and 6 GB of permanent memory. The new product from MSI is based on the GA106-150 graphics processor with 2560 CUDA cores and received 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with support for a 128-bit bus. The power consumption of the video card is stated at 115 W. The card is equipped with DisplayPort 1.4a, HDMI 2.1 and DL-DVI-D video outputs.
MSI has previously released the GeForce RTX 3050 Ventus 2X cards in black. The new GeForce RTX 3050 Ventus 2X XS OC variant is offered in white.
The card is equipped with a proprietary Zero Frozr cooling system with two fans that stop rotation at low load on the graphics subsystem. The graphics processor of the video card is slightly factory overclocked. The chip frequency is stated at 1807 MHz, which is 2% higher than the Nvidia reference value.
