Intel has released a new graphics driver, Arc Graphics 32.0.101.6297. The latest version of the software is notable not only for the added support for the games Farming Simulator 25, Planet Coaster 2 and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, but also for the reduced size of the installation package itself compared to previous versions of Intel software.
The bad news is that the Intel driver still takes up more space than the Nvidia and AMD graphics drivers.
The latest Intel driver version 6297 is an update to the previous version 6130/6048. The double name of the version is due to the fact that Intel has combined two drivers – for discrete Intel Arc graphics cards and integrated graphics of Arrow Lake-S processors – in one package. Previously, the company released a separate driver for “integrating” Arrow Lake-S chips.
The new version of the 6297 driver is 1.1 GB in size, which is 500 MB less than the previous version of the driver. And this is still larger than the size of the Nvidia GeForce Game Ready 566.14 (689 MB) and AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 24.10.1 (772 MB) drivers.
Unfortunately, the new driver version does not fix any problems with previous versions of the software. The only changes are related to support for three new games and a reduced size of installation files.
