Gaming smartphones RedMagic 10 Pro and 10 Pro+ presented – Snapdragon 8 Elite, active coolers with liquid metal and capacious batteries

ZTE’s RedMagic brand introduced the flagship gaming smartphones RedMagic 10 Pro and RedMagic 10 Pro+ in China based on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The devices offer up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X-9600 RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. New products score up to 3,291,328 points in the AnTuTu performance test.

Both smartphones are equipped with 6.85-inch BOE Q9+ OLED screens with a resolution of 2688 × 1216 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The displays cover 95.3% of the front panel area of ​​the new products. The screens have a peak brightness of 2000 cd/m2, a PWM backlight dimming frequency of up to 2592 Hz and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

Each device uses a proprietary Red Core R3 gaming chip that supports 2K+ resolution at 120 frames per second and superframe parallelism.

With the RedMagic 10 Pro series, ZTE is the first to use liquid metal as a thermal interface. Its thermal conductivity is 80 W/(m∙K), which is 13 times higher than that of conventional thermal conductivity gel. The smartphones also received an active cooling system, which includes a centrifugal fan with an operating speed increased by 10% (23,000 rpm).

The cooling system also uses an evaporation chamber with an area increased by 18% (up to 12,000 mm2) and copper foil with an area of ​​5200 mm2. There is also a graphene plate for cooling the screen. The thickness of the plate has been increased by 30% compared to that used in the brand’s previous generation gaming smartphones.

The devices received a 3.5 mm audio output, stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra support, three microphones, two vibration motors and side touch triggers with a polling rate of 520 Hz. The presence of a multifunctional NFC module is also stated.

In front of each of the new products is a 16-megapixel sub-screen camera based on the OmniVision OV16A1Q sensor. The set of main cameras consists of a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50E40 sensor measuring 1/1.5″ with f/1.88 optics and optical stabilization, a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50D module with a 120-degree viewing angle and f/2.2 optics, as well as a 2-megapixel OmniVision macro sensor OV02F10. The main camera supports shooting in low light levels, has fast autofocus, supports HDR mode, and also offers support for various AI functions.

The RedMagic 10 Pro+ model is equipped with an impressive 7050 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast charging. The device’s battery charges up to 50% in just 11 minutes. A full charge takes 30 minutes. In turn, RedMagic 10 Pro received a 6500 mAh battery with support for 80 W fast charging.

The price of RedMagic 10 Pro in the Dark Knight / Day Warrior version and configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of permanent memory is 4999 yuan (about $692), the version with 12/512 GB of memory is estimated at 5499 yuan (about $761). In the RedMagic 10 Pro Deuterium Front Transparent Dark Night / Silver Wing version with 12/256 GB memory, the new product is priced at 5299 yuan (about $733), and in the 12/512 GB configuration – at 5799 yuan (about $803).

The RedMagic 10 Pro+ model in Dark Knight / Day Warrior versions with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of permanent memory is priced at 5999 yuan ($830), in a configuration of 24 GB and 1 TB of memory – 7499 yuan ($1038). In the Deuterium Front Transparent Dark Night / Silver Wing versions, the same model with 16/512 GB memory received a price tag of 6299 yuan ($872).

The company also released a special version of the smartphone – RedMagic 10 GOLDEN SAGA 24GB+1TB Limited Edition. It features a gold vapor chamber, silver and gold air ducts, and a carbon fiber back cover. The smartphone screen is protected by sapphire glass. The device has a gold-plated power button and a gold-plated logo. Customers of this model are offered personalized service. The smartphone comes in a special premium packaging and offers other bonuses. The cost of this model is 9499 yuan ($1315).

The presented new products can already be ordered in China. Open sales of devices will begin on November 18. The announcement of the global version of the RedMagic 10 Pro smartphone is expected in December.
