Nvidia App is out of beta and will soon completely replace GeForce Experience

Nvidia has officially unveiled the Nvidia App for PCs and laptops, which will replace the GeForce Experience utility, popular with millions of gamers around the world. The new application is out of beta and will soon be included in the GeForce driver kit.

The Nvidia App has an improved overlay that supports 4K video capture at 120 fps with the AV1 codec. Also available are AI-powered filters for RTX-enabled games and improved custom stats overlays for viewing hardware data on desktop and during gameplay.

Like GeForce Experience, the new software offers optimal settings for gaming, but now with options that were previously only available in the Nvidia Control Panel. You can now configure displays, enable G-Sync, and manage GPU performance directly from the new app without the need for a separate control panel. The PC update process has also been simplified using GeForce Game Ready and Studio drivers.

Nvidia continues to work on bringing features from Nvidia Control Panel to the new application. Thus, display settings, sliders for RTX Video HDR and support for RTX Video Super Resolution have been added, the Surround function has been integrated for combining multiple displays into one large one, and the Multiple Display Mode function has been integrated, providing the best rendering in Direct3D and OpenGL applications.

The new Nvidia App will be offered as an optional installation as part of the GeForce drivers and will not require an Nvidia account login to use. “With the official launch of the Nvidia app today, the migration of GeForce Experience and Nvidia RTX Experience features is complete. The new Nvidia App will soon be available as part of our Game Ready and Studio Ready Drivers,” the company said in a blog post.
