Large electric crossover Cadillac Vistiq 2026 announced with a range of 480 km and a price starting from $80,185

General Motors’ Cadillac brand has unveiled the 2026 Vistiq electric crossover, with a range of approximately 483 km and a price starting at $80,185. The Vistiq joins the brand’s growing family of premium electric vehicles, including the Lyriq, Optiq, Escalade IQ and Celestiq. This comes as GM’s electric vehicle sales are surging thanks to a more diverse lineup than its competitors.

The Vistiq will be built early next year at GM’s Spring Hill, Tennessee plant, which already makes GM’s first electric vehicle, the Lyriq, allowing it to qualify for federal tax credits.

According to The Verge, the Vistiq features many design cues first seen on the Lyriq, such as flat door handles, a diamond pattern on the grille, indentations on the side panels, and the shape of the headlights and taillights.

The Vistiq’s windshield is more reminiscent of that of the Escalade IQ, which also goes on sale next year, but the Vistiq is aimed at the more budget-conscious buyer, so its engines are less powerful than the Escalade IQ’s, but still offer decent acceleration and good range.

The Vistiq will be available in three trim levels at launch: Luxury, Sport and Premium Luxury. The top-end Platinum trim will appear later. All-wheel drive will be standard across the range thanks to a 615-hp dual-motor powertrain. With. and 880 Nm of torque. In Velocity Max mode, the electric car takes 3.7 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h.

Active steering with rear wheel steering ensures good maneuverability of the car. Large 23-inch wheels are optionally available.

The Vistiq infotainment system runs on the Android platform using Google firmware. This means navigation based on Google Maps, apps available for download through the Google Play Store, but no support for the popular Apple CarPlay and Android Auto services for transmitting and displaying information from a smartphone on the system screen.

A new feature for Cadillac will be bidirectional charging, which, with the appropriate equipment, will allow the vehicle’s battery to be used to supply electricity to the home (Vehicle-to-Home, V2H). The Vistiq also has a number of other high-tech features, including an advanced safety monitoring system, OnStar collision assist and infrared night vision for improved visibility on dark highway sections.

Cadillac hopes the new model will replicate the success of the Lyriq, which is currently one of the best-selling compact luxury electric vehicles in the U.S. and is responsible for much of the brand’s sales growth last year.
