Pizza Hut has introduced the PIZZAWRMR pizza warmer. This device is installed on the Sony PlayStation 5 game console and keeps the pizza warm while the user is engaged in heated battles. The company has no plans to sell this device, but has provided source files for 3D printing. They are available immediately after registration on the official website.

According to Pizza Hut marketers, the design of PIZZAWRMR is inspired by the red roof of the company’s signature restaurants. The lid of the device opens like a laptop lid for easy access to pizza slices. A stream of heated air from the console during a gaming session is directed into the device, which, according to the company, is “a triumph of science and engineering for the common good.”

The archive, hosted on the Pizza Hut Canada website, includes STL files and a PDF manual. Separate files contain templates for 3D printing of the body, cover, manifold and racks. According to the PDF manual, the featured design is “specifically designed to be compatible only with a rear-vented console that measures 11.7 x 1.31 inches” (29.72 x 3.33 cm). The 3D printer must have a platform of at least 38 x 38 cm to print PIZZAWRMR parts.

Additional measures are also offered to protect your expensive console from the dangers of crumbs and grease. Pizza Hut suggests that PIZZAWRMR users use a 34 x 23 x 2.5 cm foil tray in the warmer.

The last paragraph in the PDF instructions tells you to start the game by warming up the PIZZAWRMR and then placing the pizza slices in the tray. The company says Pizza Hut’s medium slices are best.

Pizza Hut isn’t the first fast food company to come up with a fun project to attract gamers. In 2020, KFC introduced the bucket-shaped KFConsole. The idea started as a joke, but then grew into a full-fledged Intel NUC-based console with a compartment for storing fried chicken.
