Previous Mac Mini models with Apple processors had a lot of free space inside, since Apple has largely remained unchanged in the design of the compact computer since abandoning Intel processors and switching to its own chips. In the new Mac Mini model, almost the entire internal volume is occupied. This made it possible to reduce the size of the PC compared to previous models.

The metal grille of the new Mac Mini still acts as an external antenna.

After dismantling it, you can see a new cooling system with a fan and radiator, which is responsible for removing heat from operating components.

The updated Mac Mini has a removable solid-state drive. In its basic configuration, it has a capacity of 256 GB in the form of two NAND flash memory chips of 128 GB each. Some enthusiasts are already experimenting with replacing standard memory chips with more capacious ones. By resoldering the chips, the SSD storage capacity was increased to 2 TB.

The new Mac Mini features an innovative cooling architecture that directs air from the bottom of the device to different levels of the computer.

As for the repairability of the new Mac Mini, iFixit will talk about this when it conducts its disassembly of the new compact computer.
