Sony today began sales of the PlayStation 5 Pro game console, and also announced the price of a special version of the PlayStation 5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition. The latter is priced at a whopping $1,000 and will begin shipping on November 21st.
In August, the manufacturer presented limited versions of the PS5 Slim Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition and PS5 Pro – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition game consoles on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation brand. The consoles are made in the famous gray color in which the original PlayStation was released.
The company priced the PS5 Slim Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition at $499.99 – the same as a regular PS5 Slim. This kit includes: a discless version of the PlayStation 5 console with a 1 TB drive in a proprietary gray color, a drive cover in the color of the console, a gray DualSense controller, and a stand for vertical installation of the console.
Buyers will also receive a USB-C cable styled after the original PlayStation cable, a set of stickers, a limited-edition poster and a PlayStation cable clip.
In turn, the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition bundle is priced at $999.99 by Sony. It includes: a PS5 Pro game console in a unique gray color with a 2 TB SSD, DualSense and DualSense Edge wireless controllers made in the same gray color, a case for the latter, a charging station for controllers, a USB-C cable that imitates the original cable for the first PlayStation, sticker set, limited edition poster (1 of 30 possible designs) and PlayStation cable clip. This bundle will be available exclusively through the official online store direct.playstation.com. However, the company will release only 12,300 of these kits.
