Samsung is likely working on the Galaxy S25 Slim, which will compete with the iPhone 17 Slim in 2025 – the latter, in turn, will replace the iPhone Plus. Samsung will release a flagship smartphone in a thin body in the second quarter of 2025, that is, it will complement the main Galaxy S25 line in a few months, ETNews reports.
We are talking about a Galaxy series smartphone, which received the model index SM-S937U – it was discovered by the Smartprix resource in the IMEI database of the GSMA organization. Samsung usually adds models it is working on to this database, and they hit the market within six to seven months. The model index does not match the numbers assigned to the flagship Galaxy: the basic one, as well as the Plus and Ultra variants.
Other details remain unknown, but the “U” designation in the index indicates that the model will be released in the United States. The thin version of the iPhone, according to unofficial information from various sources, will debut only in the third quarter and will cost more than the most expensive iPhone Pro Max in the line – the device will have a 6.6-inch display and only one camera on the back panel.
Samsung will apparently also have to make some design changes to make the phone thin enough. The company may sacrifice the processor, display, battery or camera. And if the AI features don’t convince some flagship phone owners to buy the latest models, perhaps the thin body will.
