Samsung, at an event in China, unveiled its latest smartphones, the W25 Flip and W25, which are special editions of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition for the Chinese market. Both new products come in a matte black ceramic case with the Heart to the World logo and a durable gold-tone aluminum frame. The devices are built on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor and run Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 shell.
Samsung W25 is equipped with an 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2184 × 1968 pixels, HDR10+ support, peak brightness of 2600 cd/m² and an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. There’s also a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X external display with the same peak brightness and adaptive refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The device is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor with a clock frequency of 3.4 GHz and an Adreno 750 graphics accelerator. LPDDR5X RAM is 16 GB, and the built-in UFS 4.0 storage capacity is available in 512 GB or 1 TB options. The smartphone runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1.1 interface and supports two nano-SIM SIM cards.
The main camera is 200 megapixels with optical image stabilization. There is also a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera (123˚ viewing angle, f/2.2), a 10-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom (f/2.4), a 10-megapixel front camera (f/2.2), and a 4 megapixel camera (f/1.8).
The dimensions of the smartphone when folded are 157.9 × 72.8 × 10.6 mm, when unfolded – 157.9 × 142.6 × 4.9 mm, weight – 255 g. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side. The device is protected from water and dust according to the IP48 standard. Connectivity options include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 6E (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS with GLONASS support, USB Type-C and NFC. The 4,400 mAh battery supports 25W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
Samsung W25 Flip features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with a resolution of 2640 × 1080 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. Additionally, there is an external 3.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 × 748 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The smartphone is equipped with stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support via USB Type-C. The dimensions of the device when folded are 85.1 × 71.9 × 14.9 mm, when unfolded – 165.1 × 71.9 × 6.9 mm. Weight: 187 g. 4000 mAh battery supports 25 W wired charging, 15 W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
The price of Samsung W25 is 15,999 yuan ($2,229) for the version with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, and the model with 16 GB of RAM and terabyte storage costs 17,999 yuan ($2,508).
The price of the Samsung W25 Flip flip phone is 9999 yuan ($1393). Both smartphones are already available for pre-order and will go on sale in China starting November 15.
