Microsoft launched AI technical support for Xbox

Microsoft has begun testing a new artificial intelligence-based chatbot designed to provide technical support services to members of the Xbox community. At this stage, the mentioned innovation has become available to members of the Xbox Insider program. The chatbot is expected to “help Xbox players more effectively resolve in-game support issues.”

Microsoft Insider Program members in the US can check out the Xbox AI chatbot at support.xbox.com, where it will answer questions related to Xbox consoles and various gaming issues. “We appreciate the feedback from Xbox Insiders on this preview, and any feedback we receive will be used to improve the virtual support agent,” said Megha Dudani, senior product manager for Xbox at Microsoft.

Visually, the Xbox AI chatbot has the appearance of a virtual animated character or a multi-colored Xbox sphere. The launch of the bot was one of Microsoft’s steps to expand the integration of algorithms based on neural networks in Xbox services. Unlike other divisions of the software giant, Xbox has been cautious in its approach to launching AI features, despite clear instructions from company management to center all Microsoft divisions around AI. Until recently, AI features in Xbox were primarily aimed at developers, but the arrival of the Xbox Tech Support chatbot is changing that.
