Vivo introduced the flagship smartphone iQoo 13, equipped with an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a proprietary SuperComputing Chip Q2 for improved gaming performance. The new product is currently the most affordable model based on the latest flagship Qualcomm chip.
The iQoo 13 smartphone has a 6.82-inch flat 8T LTPO BOE Q10 display with a resolution of 3168 × 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The display has a total peak brightness of 1800 cd/m2 and a local peak brightness of 4500 cd/m2 for HDR content playback. Developed in collaboration with BOE, this display delivers 50% improved color accuracy, longer lifespan and 15% less blur, while consuming 10% less power.
Vivo’s custom eye protection solution includes circular polarization to reduce eye strain and 2592Hz PWM backlight control for eye comfort even during long periods of use.
High performance of iQoo 13 is provided by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor manufactured using a 3-nm process technology, paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 flash storage with a capacity of up to 1 TB.
Powered by the SuperComputing Chip Q2, the smartphone supports frame rate interpolation, delivering up to 144fps in compatible games, and its Ultra High Resolution feature allows for 2K gaming. Initially limited to a select few games, these features now cover over 140 “super frame” games and over 100 “super resolution” games, with 98 games delivering both 144fps and 2K resolution simultaneously.
The power source is a 6150 mAh battery with third-generation iQoo silicon negative electrode technology and support for 120W fast charging. Despite the large battery capacity, the thickness of the smartphone body is 7.99 mm. A 100W adapter is included.
IQoo 13 is equipped with a main camera with three 50-megapixel sensors, including a 1/1.56-inch IMX 921 sensor with f/1.88 aperture and optical image stabilization, a 1/2.93-inch portrait telephoto lens with an IMX816 sensor with f aperture /1.85 and optical stabilization, and a wide-angle module with a 1/2.76-inch sensor and a viewing angle of 119.4°. The resolution of the front camera is 32 megapixels.
For protection against moisture and dust, the smartphone complies with IP69 and IP68 standards. The device specifications also include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 wireless adapters, an NFC chip, 5G support and a USB Type-C port. To control the smartphone, Android 15 with the OriginOS 5 software shell is used.
The smartphone is available in black, white, gray and green. The cost of iQoo 13 starts at 3999 yuan (about $561) for the model with 12/256 GB of memory. The iQoo 13 version with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB flash drive will cost 5,199 yuan (about $730).
