Xiaomi has officially unveiled its next-generation entry-level flagship, the Xiaomi 15. Xiaomi 15 has a compact 6.36-inch flat OLED display with a resolution of 2670 × 1200 MP, a variable refresh rate LTPO 1-120 Hz, a peak brightness of 3200 cd/m² and symmetrical frames 1.38 mm wide. The display is protected by Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass, which the manufacturer claims provides 10 times better drop resistance compared to Xiaomi 14.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor delivers a 45 percent increase in single-core and multi-core performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Using Xiaomi HyperCore and Xiaomi’s original microarchitecture scheduler, it speeds up application launch and response time by 45.7 percent.

The Xiaomi 15 camera system, developed jointly with Leica, includes three 50-megapixel Summilux lenses: a Light Fusion 900 main sensor (1/1.3″, f/1.62, OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (Samsung S5KJN1, f/2.2) and a telephoto lens ( Samsung S5KJN5, 1/2.75″, f/2.0, OIS) with floating focus and 5x optical zoom.

On the front panel, in the central hole under the screen, there is a 32-megapixel OmniVision OV32B40 selfie camera. The device uses AISP 2.0, capable of processing up to 4.3 billion pixels per second for dynamic photo sharing on popular social platforms.

Xiaomi 15 is powered by a 5400 mAh battery and supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. 30W magnetic wireless charging is also introduced.

The device is equipped with a Goodix Technology ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for quick unlocking even with wet hands. The one-piece frame of the device is made of aircraft-grade aluminum. The device has an IP68 protection class against dust and water. The smartphone is equipped with an infrared port for remote control of compatible devices. NFC technology is supported.

Xiaomi 15 runs the proprietary HyperOS 2.0 shell based on Android, which ensures smooth and responsive operation. The manufacturer promises a wide range of optimizations designed specifically for this compact flagship, including advanced thermal management and improved system performance.

Xiaomi 15 comes in four standard colors: lilac-violet, light green, black and white. There is also a Bright Silver Edition, reminiscent of the classic Xiaomi Mi 6 design.

Prices for the device start at 4,499 yuan ($630) for the version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage. For 5499 yuan ($770) a model with 16 GB of RAM and a terabyte storage is available. In the Bright Silver Edition, the device costs 4,699 yuan ($658). A Diamond Limited Edition is also available, priced at 5,999 yuan ($840). The Xiaomi Mall exclusive 20-color edition has a configuration with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage and costs 4,999 yuan ($700).

The Xiaomi 15 series will soon be available for purchase in China on the official Xiaomi website, Xiaomi Mall, and authorized retail partners. Pre-orders for the device are already being accepted. Global availability will be announced at a later date.
