Xiaomi was expected to officially unveil the Xiaomi 15 series flagship smartphones this week, but this will happen a little later. Xiaomi CEO Lu Weibing confirmed on his account on the Weibo social network that the presentation of new products will take place in China on October 29 at 19:00 local time.
Although there are still a few days before the official announcement of Xiaomi smartphones, you can evaluate the appearance of Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro now, since renderings revealing the design of the new products have been published on the X social network.
According to reports, the Xiaomi 15 Pro has a thickness of 8.35mm and weighs 213g, which is 10g less compared to the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The device is equipped with a curved Micro Quad display and is protected from mechanical damage by second generation Xiaomi Longjing Glass. It is also known that the main camera of the device is located in a massive square module on the back of the case.
Xiaomi 15 has a 6.36-inch display with a 1.38 mm frame around the entire perimeter. In terms of the thinnest frame around the display, the device will compete with the Oppo Find X8, which was officially presented today.
Xiaomi 15 series smartphones will be the company’s first flagships with ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, which replaced optical ones. Such scanners tend to be faster and more accurate.
