Streamer Ainrun is no stranger to seemingly impossible challenges, but his recent playthrough of the hardcore open-world action RPG Elden Ring and the Shadow of the Erdtree addon literally brought the enthusiast to tears.
We are talking about voluntarily limiting the supply of health points, concentration (for using spells and special techniques) and stamina (for performing attacks, jumps, dodges and other actions) to just one.
In other words, during his run through the main game and the expansion, Ainrun was unable to perform two actions in a row, so he relied on mobility, parries, and “self-hatred” instead of dodges.
Elden Ring itself has already been conquered under such conditions, but for Shadow of the Erdtree, completing Ainrun was the first. The effort resulted in nearly 55 hours of suffering and 1,862 deaths, more than 900 of which were caused by the final boss.
According to Ainrun, he was used to running without health, while the main problem was limited stamina. At the very end, the enthusiast had to gather all his strength so as not to become a victim of his own greed.
«No more Elden Ring, fuck this game… I’m literally in tears, it was so terrible. “I’m finally free and can go back to my life,” said Ainrun emotionally after defeating the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree.
The full recording of Ainrun’s victorious six-hour stream can be viewed on his Twitch channel, and the video attached below shows the enthusiast’s moment of triumph (spoiler alert).
