The TechAmerica store has set a preliminary price for the processor at $484. In turn, ShopBLT indicated $524. Earlier rumors suggested that the price of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D would be the same as the previous generation Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, which was offered for $449 at launch.

According to ShopBLT, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has eight cores with support for 16 virtual threads and has a rated TDP of 120W. The number of cores of the new product is the same as the Ryzen 7 9700X model, but the new chip differs in frequency and power consumption. From earlier leaks, we know that the base frequency of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is 4.7 GHz, which is 900 MHz higher than the Ryzen 7 9700X. The X3D model’s turbo frequency is 5.2 GHz, which is 300 MHz lower. In turn, the TDP of the new chip is 55 W higher than that of the Ryzen 7 9700X.

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is expected to be announced around the same time that Intel starts selling the latest Core Ultra 200S desktop processors. If rumors are to be believed, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D will go on sale during the first week of November.
