HMD is preparing the ultimate symbiotic smartphone with a Venom-style design

HMD continues to collaborate with the film industry and is preparing a new version of the Fusion smartphone, dedicated to the release of the film “Venom: The Last Dance”. The device, called the ultimate symbiotic smartphone, will have a design inspired by the Venom symbiote, but details about the appearance of the new product remain secret.

The original HMD Fusion model, released in September, had a modular design with the ability to replace rear panels, which became its key feature. However, the company decided to go further and combine innovation with elements of popular culture. Despite? According to available information, changes to HMD Fusion Venom will affect mainly cosmetic aspects. It is expected that the smartphone will receive a special Venom-themed launcher, but its hardware, including the processor, cameras and battery, will remain unchanged.

The original HMD Fusion is equipped with a 6.56-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution of 1612 × 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The front camera has a 50-megapixel sensor, and the main camera unit consists of a 108-megapixel sensor with electronic image stabilization (EIS) and a 2-megapixel sensor for calculating scene depth. The device also supports advanced night shooting mode and RAW format.

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor (two Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of 2.2 GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores with a frequency of 2.0 GHz, Adreno 613 GPU) provides the smartphone with high performance. HMD Fusion is available in two configurations: with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. Additionally, users can expand the storage using microSD.

The smartphone runs on Android 14, and HMD guarantees two years of operating system (OS) updates, as well as three years of security updates. The 5000 mAh battery supports 33 W fast charging and provides the smartphone with long battery life.
