Remedy confirmed the release date of The Lake House addon for Alan Wake 2 and intrigued players with a new trailer

As expected, at the October presentation of the Xbox Partner Preview, not only the presentation of the addition “The Lake House” to the horror Alan Wake 2 from the Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment took place, but also the announcement of its release date.

Let us remind you that the official release of The Lake House was announced for October of this year, and unofficially – for next week: retailers JB Hi-Fi and EB Games indicated that the addon will be released on October 22.

As it became known, The Lake House will indeed go on sale on October 22 for PC (EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The DLC will be exclusive to the expanded edition of Alan Wake 2, which is available both in digital format and in retail.

Presented on the Xbox Partner Preview, the minute and a half gameplay trailer for The Lake House showcases Kiran Estevez, an agent of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBK) from Control, who will become the main character of the add-on.

The protagonist, played by American actress Janina Gavankar, will have to investigate what happened at the secret FBK research station near Cauldron Lake and look at the events of Alan Wake 2 through the eyes of the FBK.

The trailer for The Lake House also featured Dylan Faden, the brother of Jesse Faden’s character from Control. Users in the comments expect that the add-on will become a teaser for Control 2, which is currently in development.

Alan Wake 2 was released on October 27, 2023 on PC (EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The game earned high ratings and pleased Remedy with sales. The first addition to the project, Night Springs, was released in June.
